The Knowing
One of the greatest travesties to occur following colonialism and
the enslavement of African, or marginalized people is the invalidation of self
as a source of infinite knowing, knowledge, and inspiration. The necessity of
approval and the dependence upon the opinions and points of view of others, to
derive value of self, arrests creativity, halts the expansion and evolution of
society and results in the atrophy of optimism and courage. In some cases this
leads to dependence on narcotics, opiates, and alcohol when the approval of
others isn’t enough.
Charlotte says her husband Raymund was very distraught over the
loss of his father. Raymund says, “When a man loves his family as much as my
father did he will reach from beyond the grave to care for his descendants.” It
is the insistence on directing the course of his progeny, coupled with his will
and might that keeps Raymunds’ father anchored to this reality. Raymunds’
unwillingness to let his father go, keeps his father stuck here incessantly
chattering in Raymunds’ ear as if he has a body.
One morning Raymund heard a statement. Not the way one usually
hears a statement, by waves of sound vibrating against his ear drum. He heard a
thought! “You should go to church today.” What if whenever you perceive the
phrase “you should”, it’s a clue, a hint that something else wishes to
communicate with you? Raymund perceives the phrase “you should” as a thought,
and carries out the directive even though he would never address himself as
you. “I don’t particularly like going to church”, Raymund says.
Some ministers claim to receive revelation from God or the spirit
as they interpret the gospel, scriptures, or sacred text. Entity communication
or communicating with the “dead” is an offense in many world religions and can
be prohibited. However communications with spirits are common as many of the
prophets of the world religions are no longer embodied. Who does the minister
or rabbi receive his revelation from? Who listens to and answers his prayers?
What daemon or ascended master is attempting to impose its’ point of view
through the power of his will and might? Are the religious leaders
communicating with a plethora of god’s, one god, or gods at all. Many of the
sacred text were purportedly received through direct and divine revelation.
Charlotte talks about communion with her body. I have communion with my
body in such a way that when I ask my body where it would like to go today I
will usually receive an image of a place or a light pull/desire to go a
particular place.” “I will then meet someone or come across some information
pertinent to my adventure, expansive for my living, or receive something just
plain enjoyable.” So, what if the consideration of everyone else’s points of
view or judgments as true, coupled with the choice to ignore our body’s senses
is what expels us from the Garden of Eden day after day?
When I picked up the book Guns & Rain, a shot of energy
ran from the palm of my hand, up the forearm, through my bicep and ended with a
tinge of ecstasy in the center of my heart. This book was particularly
expansive for me as I began playing with extrasensory abilities and sharing the
information I received with others. The author claims that during the Zimbabwe
War of Liberation spirit mediums and channels led guerilla warriors to victory
with their uncanny ability to know what was required to enhance their armies
and assist the guerillas in hitting their targets. There are first hand
examples of how communication with the unseen world enhanced the quality of the
soldier’s lives and ultimately led to a partial victory, overthrowing white
minority rule.
The mediums of Zimbabwe channeled chiefs, witches, and ancestors
who passed by. The ex guerillas tell stories of how the mediums led them to
food sources and other supplies. One ex-combatant talks of how a conversation
with a medium ended the death in his camp. There were several deaths in the
guerillas camp and no one knew exactly what was causing the death. The medium
told them to stop bathing in a nearby river and there would be one more death
of a child from bathing in the river. This is exactly what happened. The
mediums were also leaders of a war fought to liberate a colonized country from
its oppressors. Even the future Prime Minister of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe was
assisted to escape by an obscure mountain route to Mozambique at the advice of
a spirit medium.
The new state of Zimbabwe was founded in large part by the
consultation of mediums, the channels of the mhondoro or royal ancestors. The
mediums of the mhondoro spirits were the advisors of the guerillas and the
peasants of Dande from 1970 until 1979. Guns & Rain focuses on the
relationship between guerrillas and the mediums of spirits. While many of all
of Britain’s colonies achieved independence by the mid 1960’s, Rhodesia refused
to give its’ citizens the right to vote and while many say the war for independence
began in 1964, it appears the by 1970 the guerillas and citizens of Rhodesia
were willing to receive from the mediums that had access to a vast range of
knowledge.
The Guerillas of the Zimbabwe African National Union rebelled.
Somehow they knew that political independence was a possibility that would
create a greater future. They traveled from Mozambique to speak with a medium.
“We are the children of Zimbabwe, we want to liberate Zimbabwe.” She began to
give them information about the terrain of northeastern Zimbabwe. Many of the
terrains were dangerous where wild animals roamed. She gave them directions and
routes to take. She told them where to sleep and what foods to eat. The mediums
taught the guerillas how to interpret certain signs displayed by animals so
they would know when the antagonists were approaching or a change of weather
coming.
When the ancestor wishes to communicate directly to his descendants
it chooses a man or woman who has literally gone unconscious. When the medium
has gone unconscious the ancestor takes control of the mediums body and begins
to communicate with the progeny. The mutapi assist the mediums by acting as an
intermediary between the visitors and the mhondoro. He receives the visitors,
calls the spirit down to attach itself to the medium and the question and
answer session begins. The mediums have capacities like reading past present
and future lines, and extrasensory perceptions. In Zimbabwe when a chief dies
he is transformed into a mhondoro and becomes the source of the fertility of
the land itself. Many people visit the medium to request that the mhondoro
bring the rain. Mediums objected to the new techniques of agricultural
production like irrigation and the use of fertilizer. They knew much of the
fertilizer was harmful to the foods and many of the agricultural practices
disturbed the balance of the land. They opposed the construction of dams that
would flood sacred pools.
The spirit mediums were sure of victory and following the fifteen
year guerilla war with black nationalists, a peace agreement was established.
The peace agreement was to institute the holding of general elections, and to
make Zimbabwe Rhodesia an independent state with the parties settling disputes
and differences by elections. The European Union continues to impose economic
sanctions on Zimbabwe due to electoral fraud and human rights abuses. What do
we all know that could change everything that allows this to occur? Change may
begin with the acknowledgement that we do know. What if the mediums assisted
the guerillas and the peasants in to live consciously and to access their
own knowing? Would the outcome be different? With more awareness
would we choose greater leaders and systems that worked?

Demystifying the World of the Psychic
There have been many times in life when I had a sense something would happen and it did. Those times the occurrence didn’t take place were happenings that affected others’ world's like my brothers or someone else close to me…
Many times the awareness's came in the form of a dream, sometimes a sensation, or perhaps just instantaneous knowing. What do you know, that you are refusing to acknowledge you know, that if you acknowledged you knew it, would change your reality? At one time I became aware that I could “read” others when I was in elementary school…
I met a young boy who was starving himself. He recently checked into the hospital and was diagnosed with an eating disorder. He cared for his mother a great deal. He was unaware of the power and potency of his caring and had unconsciously formed an eating disorder. He was so aware of his mothers dissatisfaction with her body that he literally took the judgement she had of her body, out of her body, the compulsory thought patterns, the need to lose weight and developed anorexia nervosa. He began starving himself to lose weight. He was not overweight and an adolescent.
I had the awareness as an adolescent that I could share thoughts. I didn’t have the information that this was possible, no one ever said, “Honey there is this thing called “telepathy”, so I shut off the awareness that I could share thoughts, and bought every perception I had as my own. I wondered around the world with thousands of conflicting desires and moods. I learned meditation and that helped. I practiced yoga to deal with the influx of awareness my body and I assumed. One other such tool I have been playing with is, Who does this belong too? Return to sender.
I asked, Who Does This Belong Too?, then said, Return to Sender, to every thought feeling and emotion I had for three days and I became a walking talking meditation.
We are all infinite awareness. Sometimes people born with great awareness cut off their awareness with drugs and alcohol. It seems as though most of this reality is set up to maintain unconsciousness.
What would you be, know, perceive and receive if you choose total awareness? What would your life be like if you could return all the thoughts feelings and emotions that are not yours? Would your life be lighter? Would work be easier, more peaceful, fun? Would there be more space for you to show up as the infinite being you truly be?
What can you do to increase your awareness? How aware are you willing to be? 100% aware or 1000% aware? What if you were so aware that you knew the day a close friend would die? Could you change it? Some people are so aware they are willing to receive the communication of those who have passed and can read several potential futures. This reality makes it strange and calls them psychics or they are labeled disorder because they don't know how to grapple with the huge influx of data they are receiving.
What if psychics are people who are willing to have more awareness than everyone else and what if total awareness were accessible to all?
Use this tool during volatile times and see what shifts for you.

The Great Escape
Immediately following North
Korea's third nuclear test in February 2013, I remember seeing images of
Koreans on television. Many were fleeing North Korea to China in an attempt to
escape the nightmarish living conditions. "Like other dictatorships, North
Korea has an elite ruling class that enjoys some basic privileges of modern
life, such as indoor plumbing, automobiles, meat, coffee and a few luxury
goods. There's a middle stratum that has sufficient food and, occasionally, new
clothes, but not much else."
There are many who are starving and can't afford housing or receive basic
healthcare. There are also rumors of labor camps."Navi Pillay, U.N. High
Commissioner for Human Rights, called in January for an international
investigation into what she said may be crimes against humanity, including torture
and executions of political prisoners in North Korean camps. She said
Pyongyang's network of political prison camps is believed to confine at least
200,000 people and has been the scene of rapes, torture, executions and slave
labor."
The images I witnessed on CNN, spoke to me of man's innate ability to demand
change and to do whatever it takes to have the life he desires. I saw people
being brave, risking everything to escape the dictatorship that strangled their
dreams in hope of finding something better. There are many people, seekers,
looking to escape the harsh dictates of realities and relationships that no
longer work for them. People are beginning to demand our world change. What
would it take?
I wanted to know what was really happening in this part of the world. What
if having more awareness leads to multiple choices? I began searching
for someone to speak with. It was not easy to find someone. After several weeks
I found a wonderful man, Sanghun Kim, to shed some light on what the conflict
in North Korea means to all of us. Below is a transcript of the interview.
Please read and share. I am very grateful for this amazing gentleman and excited
to see what he creates as his life and living.
Who
are you? Where did you grow up? What was your upbringing like? What are you
now?
My name is Sanghun Kim. I grew up in the Korean culture. Of course, I spent
most of my time in Korea. My upbringing was kind of a Confucians culture. As
well-known to people, Korea has very strong Confucians cultural background. For
example, respect to an elder person, respecting teachers or masters, and etc.
Specifically, I was born in Seoul, especially the central area of Seoul. I
graduated from elementary school, middle school, high school, and entered into
a college. Seoul is the capital city of Korea. Seoul is a very interesting city
because nature and the urban side are made to be a perfect combination.
Currently, I am an international student at the University of North Texas. I am studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management and studying minor for Decision Science. If you ask me about my planned future, to be honest with you I don’t know. Who knows one’s future? I never think about the long term future. My vision of life is “let’s live for now. Let’s do best at each moment!” However, I wish to be a person who contributes to the improvement, that the peace reigns in heart of men. Sounds weird, but sometimes I wish that!

Share
with us briefly the history behind the conflict in Korea?
This history is not very short because this conflict occurred since Korea was
under Japanese colonization. While Korean people were against the Japanese
colonization, Korean people were separated by two of the biggest axis of power
the United Sates and the Soviet Union. Some people accepted the idea from the
U.S. Some people accepted the idea from the Soviet Union. The historical
background is from here. After Korea recovered sovereignty, these separated
people could not find compromise; therefore in 1948, South Korean people
established their own government and North Korea did as well. Then as people
know, South Korea was supported by the U.S., and North Korea was supported by
the Soviet Union. Then, in 1950, the Korean War was beginning. After a long
time, in 1991, both South and North Korea joined the United Nations and have different
seats for each.
How
does one thrive in a war torn society? What is it going to take for peace and
kindness to prevail there?
Be honest with you, I am not really sure about it because I am living here in
the U.S. However, I can tell that most of Koreans are not afraid of war. The
meaning is not Koreans are willing to accept a warring time; Koreans became
insensible about the war. Some people said the idea of South Korean’s national
security is facing a serious problem. In contrast, some people believe a new
Korean war is not going to happen because most of neighboring countries such as
China, Japan, Russia, or the U.S. don’t want to make a new war. My honest
opinion is the second one. When North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950, North
Korea had very huge supports from the Soviet Union and China. In addition at
that time, most of the strong countries had a surplus power right after the
World War II. However in the 21 century, the face of war is changing into an
economical war instead of using a physical power. Of course, the situation is
more stressful than the normal.
Just look at the situation now. At the beginning of the conflict, both Koreans
are very sensitive, and North Korea declared “full-scale war”. However, what is
going on now? Did North Korea fire an ICBM to Japan or the U.S.? Or, did North
Korean military march to the border line? If one country is going to take a
crazy action, I am sure the economic situation will be worse than the great
depression because the new Korean War is requiring, involving most of
countries.
The peace… I think it is hardest question in the Universe. Let’s think about
it. Why every country has a military power and border line? What if every
country disarms and opens their border line? If every country takes these
actions, maybe then peace reigns in the heart of men. Then, at last, we can be
whole. However, it is almost… no absolutely impossible because the situation is
very complicated. If anyone can solve this permanent homework of humankind,
that person must be a hero of the Universe.
However, we can have a simple solution, to respect the culture. Why Korean
peninsula is separated? Why India and Pakistan are separated? These are from a
greedy mind.
What
can the world learn from Korea?
I think Korea is the last separated country. For now, I don’t know what the
world can learn from Korea specifically. However, I can tell the modern history
of Korea is very interesting. For example, South Korea was hopeless country
right after the Korean War. However, who else can say South Korea isn’t a
developing country now? During South Koreans’ industrialization, the
generations were fighting with poverty, overcoming lacked natural resources,
and military dictatorship. South Korea accomplished what take’s most European
countries’ approximately 300 years of history to complete in 60 years. In
contrast, North Korea’s direction is reverse. Look at the night view picture to
the Earth from a satellite. North Korean territory at night is literally dark.
What does that mean? North Korea does not have enough electricity for their
night. From there, the world can learn many things in the future. The world can
learn how Koreans solve conflict with each other, and how a country should not
behave from North Korea.
What makes a
great leader?
I sense a
good leader is a good listener. Also, a good leader is a good arbitrator. My ideal mechanism is
very simple. A good leader should gather information or knowledge from people
and make a smart decision. The smart decision making means a leader needs to be
able to filter what is good information or what is bad information.
